Dave
is a local Manitoban who graduated from Red River Culinary
Arts in 2002. He apprenticed with both the Fairmont
Hotel, and the Casinos of Winnipeg.
He
was invited to join Culinary Team Manitoba and was with
them for a time while he worked with the Casinos of
Winnipeg. While apprenticing with the team, he cooked
for the Queen during her Royal Gala visit to Manitoba.
Dave
earned his Red Seal Certification in 2004 and it was
in that year that he joined Webber's part time, taking
vacation to cook with us at North Knife Lake Lodge.
This year he joined us full time and is cooking at North
Knife Lake Lodge, Dymond Lake Lodge and Seal River Heritage
Lodge.
Dave
is particularly well suited to our team because as well
as cooking, he can install roofing, build trailer frames,
renovate bathrooms, refinish woodwork and probably more
things that we haven't asked him to do yet.
He
enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, canoeing, backpacking,
camping (both summer and winter) and has been
a member of Scouts Canada since the age of nine. |

Ryan
has been involved full time in the hunting and fishing
industry for over 10 years and was recently the Director
of Marketing and Head Guide for one of Canada’s premier
fly in fishing destinations.
As
our Marketing Manager, Ryan brings new dynamics and
initiatives to our marketing program and overall operations.
Besides his marketing responsibilities Ryan also fulfils
his true passion for hunting and fly-fishing.
Being
a Canadian national fly fishing competitor, Orvis Endorsed
fly fishing guide, instructor and commercial fly tier,
Ryan has committed his experience and focus to further
developing our world class fly fishing opportunities
and destination experience.
If
he’s not busy marketing, guiding fly fisherman or teaching
people how to fly cast or tie than he will most likely
be guiding at or managing one of our exclusive hunting
destinations. |

Sometime
this winter, undercover and covertly a family of Pine
Martens invaded North Knife Lake Lodge.
While
homesteading, they consumed several trophy pike mounts,
eating
all but the wood and the styrofoam, chewed a goose mount
and a ptarmigan mount and ate two plate sized blocks
of Bernard Calebault chocolate.
Norm
the Trapper neutralized four of them right in the lodge
and another four outside. Not to worry, your lodge will
be better than ever when you arrive this summer.

you soon. Click on images for a better view. |
