Trophy Northern Pike Fishing
Northern Pike – also known by less flattering
handles – are non-discriminating when it comes
to lures and extremely powerful fighters. Fishing for
Northern Pike at North Knife Lake Lodge is always heavy
on action and hard on the biceps. Preferring the crooked
bays and shallow waters, just what our Manitoba fishing
lodge holds in abundance, Northern Pike are a spectacular
fly-fishing catch as well.

Monster Lake Trout Fishing
Lake Trout, a Canadian fishing favorite, prefer clear,
cold water. This means you really have to search the
depths of North Knife Lake for most of the fishing season
but you will find them in abundance. Just after ice-out
(early June for us) you can find them in shallow water,
even fly-fishing for them with success.

Rare Arctic Grayling Fishing
Arctic Grayling, a rare, spectacular, acrobatic fish
thrives in the cold, unpolluted waters of large rivers
and rocky creeks. Found mainly along the edges of fast
currents, Arctic Grayling prefer small spinning lures
and flies and are thrilling to catch on a fly rod.

Delicious Walleye Fishing
At our Small Lake mini-lodge or on one of our flyouts,
we are at the northern most point of Manitoba for Walleye
fishing. And it’s a good thing they don’t
usually get trophy size here because you will catch
so many Walleye that you will be pleading for rest by
the end of the day. Preferring cool, deep water, jigs
with grubs and spoons have proven most effective.

Spectacular Brook Trout Fishing
On a fly-out or our true adventurers’ canoe expedition,
Brook Trout Fishing with us is nothing short of spectacular.
Of course you need to know when to go and where to go
– and we do. On the mighty Churchill or South
Knife Rivers, fly-fishing for Brookies is a must do
for true sport fishermen who want to experience it all.
Whitefish Fishing
Whitefish are a secondary species at North Knife Lake
Lodge. A blast on a fly rod, you may also catch these
fish while trolling for Lake Trout. While many of these
are near trophy size, Whitefish often win the smallest
catch of the day distinction at our Manitoba fishing
lodge.
