| Your
hosts will be Doug and Helen Webber and Nelson and Toni
Morberg. Our hard working team is experienced, friendly,
courteous and anxious to make your trip a successful
and memorable one.
We are one of a very few lodge operators who actually
work and live in the north all year around. Having lived
and operated up here for the last 35 years gives us
a huge wealth of experiences to draw from, enabling
us to provide that ultimate wilderness adventure for
our guests. We rely heavily on repeat clientele and
achieve that by excelling in personal, friendly, professional
service.
True sportsmen know that nature never guarantees movements
of fish and game, but one thing guests at Webber's Lodges
have come to expect as well as the spectacular wilderness
adventure is the superior lodging and cuisine, experienced
local guides and family-run service.
For more information please peruse the biographies of
our management team below.
The Management Team
TONI MORBERG, Director of Business
Development
The Strategist
Toni oversees all aspects of Webber’s
Lodges. Her premium management skills and inherent business
savvy have moved the already well-established company
her parents created, into international stardom, attracting
hundreds of outdoors people to Northern Manitoba each
year.
NELSON MORBERG, Director of
Operations
The Aviator
Nelson is Webber’s Lodges’
“airplane savant” as well as an avid outdoorsman.
At 12, Nelson was fueling aircraft for his father’s
pilots at Calm Air and at 17, was a licensed pilot himself.
He’s been flying ever since, and as our lodges
are accessible only by air, the joke goes that if you’re
ever looking for Nelson, just look up.
MIKE REIMER,
Director of Operations
The Ultimate Outdoorsman
Mike’s love for all things created
led him north after high school to realize his dream
of becoming a wilderness guide & outfitter; and
realize it he did. Mike is an invaluable asset in the
bush. He has paddled, hiked, boated, flown over, dog
sledded, snowmobiled, and explored over a hundred thousand
square miles of the sub arctic land he loves. Mike is
a jack-of-all-trades and master of all and there is
no one better to accompany you on your arctic adventure.
JEANNE REIMER, Director of Operations
Chef Extraordinaire
Jeanne’s cooking skills are
legendary, and an invitation to her table is never turned
down. Together with her husband Mike, a transplanted
prairie dog, they have continued the personalized service
tradition as established by her parents and therefore
have undoubtedly facilitated the repeat business for
which Webber’s Lodges is famous.
DAVE
SCHELLENBERG, Executive Chef
Chef
and more Extraordinaire
Dave graduated from Red River Culinary Arts in 2002. He apprenticed with both the Fairmont Hotel, and the Casinos of Winnipeg and was invited to join Culinary Team Manitoba where he participated in competitions and cooked for dignitaries. Dave earned his Red Seal Certification in 2004 and it was in that year that he joined Webber’s part time, taking vacation to cook with us at North Knife Lake Lodge. This year he joined us full time and is cooking at all our lodges. As well as cooking, he can install roofing, build trailer frames, refinish woodwork and probably more things that we haven’t asked him to do yet. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, canoeing, backpacking, camping (both summer and winter) and has been a member of Scouts Canada since the age of nine.
Shari Wright, Office
Administrator,
Organizational
Genius
Shari
is originally a Webber and boasts lifelong experience
in the business. This makes her the ideal front
woman for Webber’s Lodges. Whether you speak to
her on the phone or correspond with her via E-mail,
her honed organizational and interpersonal skills are
evident. Shari rejoined our team in 2008 and deals with
(frightening efficiency) all things detailed at Webber’s
Lodges.
